In addition to the Dreamworks and Columbia Pictures Zones that Paragon Creative contributed to at Motiongate Dubai, we were also asked to help bring to life a number of attractions based upon the hugely succesful book and movie franchise The Hunger Games in the Lionsgate Zone.
As part of Phase 2 of the Motiongate project, Paragon Creative was commissioned to undertake design development and build of the ride, queue and area development spaces of the Lionsgate Zone.
On the Panem Ariel Tour, visitors board a hovercraft for a tour of the various Districts, before being caught in an epic battle high above the city. Paragon Creative developed and fabricated all show set elements in the queue area including
The Capitol Bullet Train – the second attraction in the zone is a high-speed launch coaster by Mack Rides. Paragon undertook queue and show-set theming which included a fully realised faithful recreation of the Bullet Train from the movie.
In addition to the two main attractions, Paragon Creative built major theming elements including a giant ‘Three Finger Salute’ Statue, large District 12 Medallions and a number of plinths that act as a tribute to the various districts.
Paragon Creative worked closely with both Lionsgate’s Location Based Entertainments team and design firm Falcon’s Treehouse to painstakingly recreate these iconic locations from the movie series, ensuring that all props, scenery and theming perfectly matched the source material. The design was a collaborative effort between the three parties and the result is a faithful recreation of this dystopian setting, allowing guests to truly immerse themselves in the world of The Hunger Games.
