Paragon Creatives brief was to completely re design and theme Tropical Worlds Café. We worked closely with our clients to develop the theme of a gentleman’s club / departure lounge to accommodate the diverse range of clientele.
Project and Site managed by Paragon Creative. We ensured that one of our experienced project managers was a constant contact for our client and on site throughout the install. We arranged for the install to coincide out of peak business times in line with our clients wishes. The construction took place at our workshop to allow for thorough testing. There have been no defects to manage, however, if there had been the original project manager and site crew would have resolved the issue. All the design took place in house and we produced full CAD drawings for our CNC operators and joinery teams to work from. These are kept on our internal network for future reference if required.
Samples of finish and mocked up images were provided to the client at every stage to ensure complete satisfaction. The joinery works are of the highest standard. The café is heavily used so the furniture needs to withstand excessive use and the cabinetry has passed repeated hygiene and catering establishment inspections. Part of the redevelopment of the café involved the removal of temporary, adjoined toilet facilities as well as remedial repairs to the exterior of the building. We ensured we liaised with these contractors to ensure our work schedules did not clash or impede one another’s work. All elements were thoroughly tested by our teams and the clients prior and after install. We prefer to construct and test in the workshop as remedial works are simpler to undertake for us and also causes less inconvenience for our client. We installed new flooring and had scenically painted the walls prior to the final fit out so our teams were instructed to ensure that they worked with care to protect these surfaces.
Our role in M&E was to coordinate with the local authority contractors to ensure a smooth install of our fixtures and fittings.
