Introducing our Robot...
3 April 2017
A state-of-the-art, large-scale 7Axis Kuka robot arm system on a linear track allowing us to machine/ sculpt 3D objects is now being used at Paragon Creative. Combined with our 3D computer modelling and animation programs as well as two top of the range Artec 3D scanners we can now map/ scan miniature or life-size objects then use our 7Axis Kuka robot arm to machine to any scale imaginable.
We are offering this service to our own projects and as service to other companies creating projects.
The 7Axis KUKA Robot is capable of carving in a variety of materials, including Polystyrene, High Density Foams, wood, allowing for precision sculpting/ machining of large-scale forms. Located at our main facility in York, the robot is the first of its kind in the region and one of a few in the UK on a linear track allowing Paragon to machine larger items than competitors.
“This new robotic system allows our team to create 3D objects using the most advanced technology available to artists,” says John Dobson, CEO at Paragon Creative Ltd. “Our team can use this robot along with the scanners to machine and 3D cut works with no limit on their imaginations, allowing them to create larger than life sculptures and shapes in a fraction of the time.”
